BATTLE OF THE HUFFINES

On September 28, 2013 there was tension in the air as two undefeated football teams finally met each other on the field.  The Huffines Chevrolet Longhorns and the Huffines Dodge Colts met for the first time this season and there was no love lost between these two teams.  The Battle of the Huffines was set to begin.

The Longhorns started off hot, scoring 19 points in the first half, but that didn’t last long.  The Dodge Colts held the Longhorns to zero second half points and for a moment it looked like the tide may turn.

Unfortunately the tough second half defense wasn’t enough and the Huffines Dodge Colts were only able to walk away with 6 points in their first loss of the season.  The delicious lunch served by Quaker Steak and Lube in Carrollton served as a good consolation prize and there is a good chance these two Huffines teams will meet again in the LFMFA Championship Game.  “We Won’t Get Fooled Again” will be the mantra for the Dodge Colts when they take the cake in that game!

Tyler Striblen was the Huffines Dodge Player of the Game and he looks forward to going to battle again against the Chevy Longhorns in the championship.
