The teams played five games Saturday and Sunday, the 17th and 18th of January 2014. The 9th Grade team lost two hard fought battles and the 8th grade team walked away with two victories on Saturday. Fred Whitfield of Huffines presented a check to the teams after the games on Saturday.
The 8th grade team played in a nail-biting championship game on Sunday, barely getting edged out 45-44 in the final seconds of the game. Coach Nelson was very happy that the Huffines Dealerships are sponsoring the teams, especially since he owns a shiny Chrysler 300 from Huffines Dodge in Lewisville. Coach Nelson Chevis coaches the 9th grade team and Coach Chris Black coaches the 8th grade team.
